Long ago, the good and evil Gods lived in harmony.
Gugurang controlled fire and thus controlled the
people. Whenever the people disobeyed his orders
or wishes, he would cause the pit of the Mayon
Volcano to rumble terribly. The people in time took
this as a sign of warning or else Gugurang will make
the volcano erupt. Asuang, on the other hand
doesnt have enough control over his people

ot Out of jealousy, Asuang begged Gugurang for fire. The
latter knew Asuangs intention was to gain favor by giving
it to the people. He was angered by his brothers
ambition and lust for power. Asuang threated his brother
that he will steal it.
War started between the two Gods.
Asuang gathered around him evils to turn the people to
evil ways.

Asuang was able to enter and locate the
guarded object, with many guiles and wiles, he
bribe the guards with gold. Asuang obtained
possession of Gugurangs fire, putting it inside
a coconut shell. Gugurang noticed that
everything around him turned black.

Mt. Malinao. Unable to control his new
power, He set the world ablaze. Gugurang
chased him and caught up at the last stride.
Gugurang snatched the coconut shell, and
vanished.

Gugurang returned the fire from its place, and
everything is bright again. He stopped the
conflagration and punished the guard. He ordered
Lightning and Thunder to strike hard against Mt.
Malinao.

was killed, but later his influence was doing
havoc with the populance. Incidentally, the
people got fire.
