Zorile S.A.

Brand history
The footwear factory was founded in 1945 and at
that time had around 10 workers. A year later, in
1946, it was named "Zorile". Unfortunately, it is
not known today why this name has been
chosen.
In 2008, the state sold its 60.3 percent stake in
the Zorile Factory of the US investment fund
"Done Investment Limited". In 2009, the new
factory development program was launched,
focusing not only on providing services to
European companies but also on the
development of retail in the domestic market. A
new marketing strategy followed, which
involved the development of Zorile brand on the
Moldovan market
Rebranding
Because the Zorile brand has always been associated with
quality leather footwear made in Moldova, managers have
decided to keep its name and turn it into a successful
national brand. In 2009, he was subjected to a restyling to
demonstrate his dynamics. For the logotype, the rounded
letters were dropped in favor of the sharpest ones. As the
basic colors, white and black classics were chosen to
emphasize the status of the business and its history,
complemented by the red color that highlights the brand's
dynamics. In the process of rebranding, a new company
slogan - "Price and Quality" - was created with the
message that "Zorile" offers a European quality product at
a fair price.
Advertising
Since 2010, Zorile has been actively promoted
through all media channels. In 2011, the
company participated in the campaign to
promote local brands in clothing, footwear and
accessories from INIMA, organized with the
help of the CEED project USAID.
At the moment...
The range of "Zorile" includes casual and classic
footwear for women, men and children. The raw
material is selected from all over the world, from
Italy to Brazil. Currently, Zorile also produces
footwear for partners in Italy and Germany, which
can also be found in Moldovan company stores.
There is also the shoe of the German "Rieker"
brands and "Fly Flot" in Italy. Recently, the
company has begun a collaboration with the Italian
studio of footwear studio "Studio Model", which
developed the design of the collection for children
and men.
Awards
The Zorile brand received the Golden Mercurie
Award in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2010 at various
categories and nominations. In 2007, he was
named "Best Contributor of the Year" and
became the second-place winner of the state
award for excellence in quality, productivity and
competitiveness. In 2011 she received the
"Commercial Mark of the Year" award in the
"Patrimony of the Republic" category.
