The 1st Thanksgiving

In 1621 the pilgrims and the Wampanoag came together and had
made the first Thanksgiving. The first Thanksgiving was to the
Wampanoag for helping them.
Every body knows our type of Thanksgiving right? The pilgrims Thanksgiving was way different. Let me show you.

Their Thanksgiving

Their Thanksgiving was a HUGE feast. They had squash, vegetables, and corn.
Why was it called Thanksgiving?

Our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, named it that way. Why? During the
American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of
"Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelled in the Heavens,"
to be celebrated on the last Thursday in November.
