By: Bingfei Gua, Guolian Liu and Bugao Xu at College of Textile and Clothing
Engineering, Soochow University, Suzhou, China; School of Human Ecology, The
University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, USA (Received 27 June 2015; accepted 27
February 2016)

LINEAR REGRESSION ANALYSIS T- TEST AND F- TEST
The predicted girths at the six comparison of predicted girths
landmarks were highly correlated and manually measured girths
with the manually measured girths (no significant difference
(R2 0.86) observed)

Since Ha is accepted, we can now
Since P Value is lesser than Alpha Value, Ha is correct. calculate the further correlations.

CORRELATION AND
REGRESSION
ANALYSIS
1. Manual Measurements = X
Measurements by 2D images = Y.
Intercept (A) and Slope (B) values were calculated for X and Y.
Through these, the Regression Line Values (Yc) was calculated.
Yc= A + BX (Regression Line)

2. Correlation between X and Y was calculated=

Correl Function

3. Regression Analysis was done

R Square value and standard error was identified in
each measurement.

The Line Fit Plot (Trendline) was made.
