Australia is a rather large island situated


between Bali and New Zealand .
It is the sixth largest country in the world
with a surface area of no less than
7.686.850 million square km. ( incl. islands),
that is almost as big as the United States of
America, around 50% bigger than Europe,
and 32 times bigger than the U.K.
LANGUAGE AND WEATHER

The official language spoken in Australia


is the British English from the UK.

TRADITIONS

The culture of Australia is rich in both


indigenous and European tradition.

Australians love to celebrate their heritage,


and most cities hold unique arts festivals
with dance, outdoors music, cinema,
food, and wine, at various points
throughout the year

Australia has an active tradition of music
ballet and theatre. Each city in Australia
has an Orchestra.

vegetables and a

developed mainly
south of the country.

AUSTRALIA
People get Christmas trees and usually place
them somewhere inside their house and they
decorate then so they look very nice. Another
Christmas tradition in Australia is to have Carols
by Candle Light. That is where people sing
Christmas carols and people hold candles.

DECORATION
People put some Christmas lights out the front
of our house. Put signs in the garden that say
Santa please stop here. People also hang all six
of our Christmas stockings on the hearth.
People Put Christmas tree up and decorate it by
putting lights on it and other nice decoration
like baubles.
FOOD

On Christmas day for


lunch people have roast
turkey, roast beef, ham
and roast vegetables.

For sweets people have


plum pudding, fresh fruit
salad and special ice
cream cake that families
makes for special
occasions
