Drive Test prepare
 When DT team reach cluster and start DT, first they should
check following:
 MS side: Settings -> connectivity -> Network Access Point -> Access
point name should be :”RCOMNET”
 Laptop: Fire wall should be turn off, all the program which may
using internet services should be shut down.
 Battery should be well charged for both MS and laptop.
 In Probe, View -> Information -> “Ftp info” ,see what happens
 If New FTP available under this cluster, first using the new FTP server.
 In Probe, “Test plan” -> “FTP download ”, we should guarantee that
user, password ,and file name is correct, Don’t change other setting in
the ftp download page.

 Parameter check on LMT
 One cell with one unique PTPBVC must be guaranteed:
 We need check PTPBVC number and Cell number, it must be same
 We can also using MML command: “List PTPBVC ”

 One cell must configure 2 continue static PDTCH in BCCH TRX

 Parameter check on LMT
 Check the following parameter:
 Idle timeslot： For the S222 configuration, site should be enough idle
timeslot so we suggest that all sites set the idle timeslot as 24
 Suggest use the following MML for inquiring all sites idle timeslot:

 Check the following parameter:
 “Allow E Down G up Switch” should open

 check PS Cell status
 We must ensure that all cell GPRS services is normal, we can check it in MML:
 MML Command: DSP PSCELL: IDXTYPE=BYBSC;

 Cell Working State: should be “on working”, otherwise may the cell can’t get DSP resource
 Cell Um Admin State: should be “unblocked”, if both Um and Gb blocked ,may site down
 Cell Gb Admin State: should be “unblocked”, if it’s blocked and Cell Um is Unblocked,
maybe no BVC configured I this cell

What can you do when meet problem in DT

 Can not access

Step1. Check the Sim card make sure it has GPRS right
Step2. Check the test plan make sure the address, user
name and password are correct
Step3. Use the MS as modern, and ping the ftp address
Step4. If not OK in step3, try another FTP server;
Step5. If not OK in step4, try to visit internet webpage.

If the problem is not OK yet. Please feedback all the

information to US.

What can you do when meet problem in DT

 The throughput is very low

Step1. Check the C/I
Step2. Ask the OMC guy to check the channel status.
Step3. Feedback the information to us.
