Content Standard : 1.2 By the end of 6 year primary schooling, pupils
will be able to listen and respond appropriately in
formal and informal situations for variety of
purposes.
1.3 By the end of 6 year primary schooling, pupils
will be able to understand and respond to oral text in
a variety of context.
Learning Standard : 1.2.4 Able to participate in guided conversations
with peers.
1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate
understanding of oral texts by:
-Asking and answering questions.
~Teacher put up/hang the Typhoon Board on the blackboard.
~Teacher explains to the pupils about the game.
~Teacher divides the pupils into different groups.
~Each group will have 1 mark for starters.

~Teacher picks the first pupil in the first group to take one of the
questions in the Treasure Box.
~ The pupil will read the questions aloud for his group to answer.
~ If they can’t answered it, they will have to pass their turn to other
group.

~ But if they can, they will have the chance to go to the board and
choose any hidden part of the board and see what they get from it.

A B C ~The teacher will write the marks for each group on the blackboard.
~ The pupil will then choose one of the pupil from the other group to take
the questions from the box.
~Repeat the process until the last question.
• The Treasure Box (Tissue Box,wrapping
paper, set of questions)
• Typhoon Board(Large Hard Board, Glue,
Glitter papers, laminated cards, scissors)
• Group marks (Chalk and blackboard)

- The material is large enough for the pupils to

- Some illustrations are also included to clarify the
meaning of the words on the cards.

-Pupils can use the materials easily without
guidance once they learnt how to play the
game.

-The game is not too difficult to be prepared
as it can be used in different way(Draw on
the board)

- The materials are durable as it is made from a
hard board.
- Can be kept and carried easily.
