The Bible was written in a cultural and historical

context very different from our own.

Application takes serious concentration.

Satan will fight us on this point.

The Personal Problem – There are two steps in the
process of applying Scripture to our daily lives.
1. Ask yourselves the following questions:
A. Is there an example for me to follow?
B. Is there a sin for me to confess or avoid?
C. Is there a promise for me to claim?
D. Is there a prayer for me to repeat?
E. Is there a command for me to obey?
F. Is there an error for me to avoid?

The Personal Problem – After studying the passage,
ask yourselves these questions about your life:
If I were to apply this Scripture to my life right now…
A. What habits or behaviors would I change?
B. What new habits would I cultivate?
C. How would my attitudes change?
D. How would my priorities be reordered?
E. What would I value more?
F. What would I value less?

What obstacles stand between me and complete

obedience to God on this issue?
