Swarnajayanti Fellowships
Selected number of young scientists, with proven track
record, are provided special assistance and support to enable them to pursue
basic research in frontier areas of science and technology.
Nature of Support:
The fellowship is Rs. 10,000/- per month for those who draw salary. In addition to
fellowship, grants for equipment, computational and communication facilities,
consumables, contingencies, administrative support, national and international
travel and other special requirements will be covered.
Duration:
Fellowship for a period not exceeding five years.
Fellowship is for Scientists between 30 and 40 years.
Eligibility:
The applicant should possess Ph. D in Science / Engineering,
Scientists should be active in the frontier areas of science and engineering with
outstanding contributions, (research publications, peer recognition etc.) in his areas
of research.
Applications for the "Swarnajayanti Fellowships" are invited from eligible candidates

JC BOSE NATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS
The fellowship is to recognize active scientists and engineers for
their outstanding performance and contributions.
ELIGIBILITY:
Indian Nationals residing in India who are below the age of 60 years.
The applicant should possess a Ph.D. in Science/Engineering and must have carried out several years of
research work.
These Fellowships are meant for those who have a proven track–record as evident from their research
publications and recognitions.
The candidate must have a regular position in an Institute and should be engaged in research.
NATURE OF SUPPORT:
The value of the fellowship is Rs. 50,000 per month in addition to regular income.
In addition, each Fellow will receive a contingency of Rs. 5.00 lakh per annum for conferences and other
expenses.

Objectives
Provide an opportunity for women scientists to re-enter into active research after a
break in career, through support for S&T based R&D projects addressing the needs of

Nature of Support
Support will include a scholarship grant of Rs. 20,000 per month for a period of two
years for candidate with Ph. D., M. Tech., MS/MD and Rs. 15,000 per month for
candidates having post graduate degree for a period of two years. Grant for minor
equipment , consumables, contingencies, travel and overheads will also be considered if
found necessary under the work plan.

Objective
To nurture the budding scientific talent and to nourish the objective of pursuit of scientific research.
Scope: Pursuing Ph.D programme with a special fellowship in CSIR Labs/other specialized R&D

Nature of Fellowship
Stipend : Rs.16000/- + HRA per month (First Two + Contingency grant of Rs.70000/- p.a.

Around top 50 candidates in Mathematical Sciences
Selection Process
The eligible candidates shall be called for interview by a specially constituted panel of subject-experts for initial
screening. The short listed candidates after first interview will be further interviewed by a panel of SPMF
Core Committee members and subject- committee chairmen for making final recommendations. The
process is likely to be completed by 3rd week of July every year.

interest. The aim of such schools is to expose mathematicians as well young

• The school is expected to last for three to four weeks. All expenses towards
TA/DA for participants and speakers are borne by NBHM according to

Objectives
• To provide financial assistance to University Departments of
Management during X Plan for undertaking quality teaching, research,
training and consultancy in Management for meeting the ever-growing

the quality of teaching and training and acquiring new knowledge.

Activities of the Centre
• In-house Research Projects: In its pursuit to extend the frontiers of knowledge on entrepreneurship,
CREED encourages and undertakes in-house research activities by making use of intellectual and other
resources of the Centre.
• Fellowships*: Through these short-term research fellowship programmes, the Centre envisages to
promote collaborative research endeavours with institutions and individuals outside the Centre. It
encourages young researchers to contribute to the field of entrepreneurship. Need based funding and
academic assistance is also provided to the researchers. The Centre takes care of local hospitality of
researchers.
• Visiting Fellowships: These fellowships are for senior researchers whom the Centre invites to write papers
or conduct research in the area of entrepreneurship and delve into a range of issues surrounding small and
medium enterprise sector.
• Biennial Conferences: These conferences are organised to provide a platform to researchers,
academicians, planners and policy-makers to come together to share their research findings and
experiences that are of contemporary relevance and interest.
• Annual Lecture Series: Eminent entrepreneurship theorists and practitioners are invited to deliver lectures
on specific themes.
• Journal of Entrepreneurship: The Journal of Entrepreneurship is a reputed academic publication of the
Centre and has established its credibility among scholars in India and abroad as a unique forum to
disseminate their research findings, both theoretical and empirical.

• Capacity Building
• Support for Statutory Compliances
• Studies
• Project Development
• Developing Foreign Trade Facilitation web Portal
• To support Cottage and handicrafts units
Eligible Agencies:-
• Departments of Central Government and Organisation of Central/ State Governments including Indian
Missions abroad
• Export Promotion Councils
• Registered trade promotion Organisation
• Commodity Boards
• Apex Trade Bodies recognized under Foreign Trade Policy of Govt of India
• Recognized Industrial & Artisan Clusters
• Individual Exporters (only for statutory compliance etc.)
• National Level Institutions (e.g. Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management
(IIMs), National Institute of design (NIDs), NIFT etc.)/ Research Institutions/Universities/ Recognized
laboratories, etc.
