Tema dirumuskan untuk memperjelas tujuan atau misi pameran yang
akan dicapai.

Dalam menentukan tema biasanya disesuaikan dengan suatu

peristiwa yang melatarbelakangi pelaksanaan pameran, misalnya
pameran dilaksanakan dalam rangka memperingati hari Pendidikan
Nasional dan sebagainya.

Tema pameran yang diselenggarakan harus mencakup sebagai

berikut.
- Maksud dan tujuan diadakan pameran.
- Fungsi diadakan pameran.
- Sasaran diadakan pameran.
