Performance: The British


government carried out the

reform of state-owned
enterprises (1950s).

Effect: the level of real GDP was


decreased significantly
throughout the 1920s and 1940s

The harmful effects of the great war

caused the steeply falling of the level
of real GDP of Britain during 1920s.

Britain is increasing, after the 1920s, the
health care spending increasing significantly.

of GDP on health.

Effect: children mortality is decreasing at the


same period

• The World War has negative effects on British economy
• The World War can drive the development of medicine and promote
the spending of health care
