FULL SHOT

The shot which


generally shows
the entire human figure
is called
“FULL SHOT” .
MEDIUM FULL SHOT

“MEDIUM FULL SHOT” is


generally a shot of a
Human character from
the knees up.
MEDIUM SHOT

Every shot that isn’t a full


shot or close up is a
“MEDIUM SHOT”.In
general medium shot
is taken from a
medium distance.
It is a shot of a person from
the waist up.
MEDIUM CLOSE UP

In photography
“MEDIUM
CLOSE UP” is a shot
which
is taken half-way between
medium shot and close
up.
This shot generally covers
subject’s full head and
shoulders.
CLOSE UP

Framing just the


full head
of the subject is
called
“CLOSE UP”.
EXTREME CLOSE UP

“EXTREME CLOSE UP”


Shot
is so tight that only
a fraction of focus
of attention
can be seen.It usually
covers
subject’s eyes.
LONG SHOT

The shot which


typically
shows the full object
of interest
and usually intend to
place it
in some relation with
its surroundings
is called “LONG
SHOT”.
EXTREME LONG SHOT

“EXTREME LONG
SHOT”
is generally taken
from as much as a
quarter of a mile
away.
This shot is used as
a scene setting.
ESTABLISHING SHOT

When a long shot


is used
to set up a location
and its
participants in a
film or vedio,
it is called
“ESTABLISHING
SHOT”.
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT

“OVER THE
SHOULDER”
shot is taken from behind
a person who is looking
at the subject or talking
with
the subject.
The person facing the
subject
generally occupy 1/3 of
the frame.
BUG’S OR WORM’S - EYE POINT OF VIEW

Shot taken from a low


angle or according
to a worm or a bug’s
eye point
of view is called
“BUG’S OR
WORM’S
EYE POINT OF
VIEW”.
DUTCH ANGLE SHOT

“DUTCH ANGLE” or
“BATMAN ANGLE” is
generally achieved by
tilting the camera off to
the side
so that the shot is
composed
with the horizon
at an angle to the bottom
of the frame.
DOLLY SHOT

“A DOLLY” is a cart which travels along tracks. The camera


is mounted on the dolly and records the shot as it moves.
Dolly shots have a number of applications and can provide
very dramatic footage.
CAMERA PAN

“CAMERA PAN” is a horizontal camera movement


in which the camera moves from left to right
about a central axis.
CAMERA TILT

“CAMERA TILT” is
a vertical

PULL FOCUS SHOT

Generally changing the

as “PULL FOCUS”.

In motion picture terminology, a “CRANE SHOT” is a shot


taken by a camera on a crane. The most obvious uses are
to view the actors from above or to move up and away
from them.
SILHOUETTE

A “SILHOUETTE” is
the image
of a person or an
object or scene
consisting of the
outline.
