• HP OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM) is a network


management solution platform for discovery, monitoring, and
management of TCP/IP networks.
• NNM’s SNMP-based management capabilities provide an enhanced
solution for managing network and system devices using SNMP in
TCP/IP network environments.
• NNM provides fault, performance and configuration management for
multivendor TCP/IP networks for a site, campus, or enterprise.

Auto Generation of Trouble Tickets

• HP OpenView

– Will generate a trouble ticket request automatically
when it receives a node-down event for a critical node
• Remedy receives the HP OV ticket request
– Will generate a ticket if there is not already an open
ticket for the critical node - Help Desk Group is
notified
– Will increment a counter on the ticket if there is
already an open ticket - Help Desk Group is notified
about the increment
