    A 51-year-old male farmer presented with swelling and an exposed implant in his right arm. He had a history of a motorcycle accident 24 years prior that resulted in a broken right arm requiring 5 subsequent operations for implant failure. His current physical exam revealed a surgical scar, swelling, tenderness, and limited movement of the right arm. X-rays showed a non-union fracture of the right humerus with metal failure. The treatment plan was to perform removal of hardware and open reduction internal fixation reconstruction.
