School History
❖ Brickell Academy (formerly known as Kemps Landing/Old Donation
School) gifted school for students who have been identified gifted
according the the VBCPS standards. The newly built school is home
to grades two through eight.
❖ They are also home to the Gifted Dance and Gifted Visual Arts
Programs.

❖ Gifted Dance:
➢ Students in grades three through eight throughout VBCPS may test into this
program. Students leave their home school to come to ODS once a week.
❖ Gifted Visual Arts:
➢ Students in grades three through five throughout VBCPS may be admitted into this
program. Like the dance program, students leave their home school to come to
ODS once a week. The middle school portion of this program is housed at Virginia
Beach Middle.
