Facetime is Apple’s video and audio calling service that

uses Wi-Fi and cellular data instead of phone lines

You can video chat and audio call anyone who has an
Apple iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Can call internationally without fees

That’s so cool! Do I have to download

an app?

No, FaceTime is already included on most Apple

products
• Teenagers : they can video chat
their friends
• College students : they can
video chat their parents
• Grandparents : they can see
their grandkids
• Serviceman : Video chatting
while on deployment
• EVERYBODY

 FaceTime is considered a social
networking social media because it is
used to connect with our friends,
family, co-workers, etc.

 Why should we adopt FaceTime? How is it any
different than talking on the phone or sending
each other photos?

Perfect for long distance couples. We can stare into

each others’ eyes every night.

We can stay in touch with friends who have moved

away. Jill can talk you through your first date nerves.

We can video chat and show our family cool

destinations we are at. Ex. On the top of a mountain

Our parents can keep an eye on us and check in on

where we are. “Sarah are you at the library studying?”
