I attended the 26th Annual Social work Symposium.

The topic was on “Self-Care Matters: Some TLC for ME!”

Location: UC Annex UNC Pembroke

Date: Friday March 23, 2018 from 8:40AM-3:30PM

While there many professors and speakers spoke on topic dealing with Self-Care
such as:

● Burnout
● Tending Love & Care for All of Me
● Self-Care in School Social Work: Practice What You Teach

The also had different topic in session II.

Biggest Takeaway ?
My biggest takeaway would be just to take a moment for yourself. Often times I
over analyze and work when I know my body needs to be tended to.

● Find a hobby
● Have a support group
● Get rid of the negative individuals in your life
● Don’t over work yourself to the point you have no fulfilment in what you do!

I picked the option of having it mailed to my house, however I have not received
the certificate yet.
