Ethical Concern

The leverage digital technology change the perception of the


market. This sudden technology advancement has disrupt the key
industry sector, in this case is transportation.
By the growing of GOJEK, they slowly “kill” the other local
transportation vehicles, which are the local ojek, the public
transportation (angkot), and also taxi.
Ethical Concern

GOJEK pretend to act as a middlemen (mediator) between customer


– drivers, so they can cost the drivers for the external cost (petrol,
parking fee, etc.). GOJEK also avoid some head on conflict of the
local regulatory, they pretend not to give a damn. They just started
to focus on the regulatory after the government legislate the tax
regulation for the startup company.
Ethical Concern

GOJEK has skillfully navigated its way into the market by avoiding a
head on conflict with the entrenched taxi industry because they
start the business for OJEK first, whilst Ojek Pangkalan don’t have
any legal form.
