Adjective
• The adjective is the part of the
sentence that qualifies the noun.
• It expresses the quality of:

• A person:
Will Smith is a tall actor.

• An animal:
Those are beautiful cats

• A thing:
That is a tall building

• An activity:
That is a dangerous activity
adj.

• An action:
That is a bad action
adj.

• We use: more

Soccer is more exciting than basketball.

• We use: less

La Paz is less cold than Oruro.

Japan is the most exciting city of the world.

• We use: less

• One syllable adjective: -er -est

Marie is an old woman

Sue Ellen is older than Marie.

Marie is less old than Sue Ellen.

Rossi is the oldest woman of the three.

Tess is the least old woman in the family.
