 INTRODUCTION

Presently in INDIA and all over the world train accidents are
• quite frequent and increasing day by day due to collision and
track discontinuation.

This project deals with one of the efficient method to avoid

• train accidents, i.e., Zigbee based accidents avoidance system
due to derailment caused by track discontinuation.
 UTILITY
• Used to detect discontinuation present in the tracks.

• Used to identify the discontinuation due to fishplates

removal.

• Sabotage activities can be reduced.

• Checks the complete length of track for discontinuity.

• Increased security for passengers, rails and trains.

• Signals are immediately tansmitted.

• Reduced frequency of accidents & high level of accuracy.

 FUTURE SCOPE
• Till now the technologies used in INDIA are TPWS,TCAS
& ACD, inspite of these technologies accidents are still
taking place, In our proposed project system is fully
automated after implementation of this project in rails if the
track is discontinuous due to any of possible causes, the
train will stop automatically.

• Detection of fault before a significant distance from the

damaged section of track which will increase the overall
safety of passengers, rains & tracks in future.
