Technology

▪ Blended Learning:
▪ Online learning-a way of studying for an internationally recognized
qualification without needing to attend classes on campus.
▪ Use- knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the student
▪ Benefits- project based learning, peer to peer learning, creative
independent learning
Technology

▪ Virtual Reality
▪ Definition - the computer-generated simulation of a three-
dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a
seemingly real or physical way by a person using special electronic
equipment, such as a helmet with a screen inside or gloves fitted with
sensors
▪ Use- computer based training, can’t be obtained in formal education,
creates third world person experiences, presents new forms and
methods through visual learning
▪ Benefits- students stepping out of the classroom in the classroom,
monitored learning, and highly motivating

Vision Plan

Challenges:
Not enough money to fund what’s needed in classrooms
Teacher’s focusing on only sports and not the education
Too much standardized testing
Not student oriented, focused on making the school reputation
Conventional classrooms
Opportunities:
Funds for proper learning spaces (smart tv, projector, virtual reality, smart board, computers)
Student centered learning
Blended classrooms to focus on each student’s talent, skill, and intellect
Teachers that create better lesson plans for all students to benefit and learn better
Smart classrooms, no desks, comfortable tables with bright colors all over the room to keep attention all
day
Plan to Change

▪ Organize an open house with a town hall meeting. Getting the community involved as much
as possible is key. If they students and parents voice their opinions, there may be ways to fix
the small stuff as a community.
▪ Plan fundraisers once a month. Fundraisers that the school doesn’t have to put much money
into but can get a good percentage out of it. For example, Krispy Kreme, pizza hut, and
dominos all have fundraising packages. Student clubs can have fundraisers as well to help
raise money for new equipment
▪ Sign up for school contests. There are a few organizations that love to retool schools. For
example, Home depo always has contests for schools that need renovations. If the school
does the best they can getting votes through social platforms, they can win. Facebook,
YouTube, twitter, and Instagram are all good platforms to facilitate votes.
▪ Set a budget and aim for a deadline to get it. If the school, faculty, students, family, friends
and community are aware of the school needing help they can try to raise money through
spreading the word and donating themselves.
▪ Focus on the best interest of the students and teachers. Knowing the keys things are needed
can easily be solved by asking what can help. Students don’t mind saying what they think
can help with lesson retention etc.
