Article 22
 Refugee Children:
 Should have the same
rights as children born in
the country where they
sought refuge
 Should be assisted in
finding their parents or
family
Article 23
 Children with Disabilities:
 Should enjoy a full and
decent life
 Should be provided special
care and support,
including access to
education, health care,
rehabilitation, recreation,
and employment

 Children’s Health:
 High standard of health and access to medicine,
treatment, and rehabilitation

 The Convention requires States Parties to implement
measures to:
 1. Reduce child mortality
 2. Necessary medical assistance
 3. Nutritious food and medicines
 4. Pre and post-natal health care for mothers
 5. Family planning
Article 25
 Periodic Review of
Treatment:
 Children should be well
cared for based on the
best interests of the child
 States Parties are required
to regularly make sure
that these children are
treated well
Article 26
 Social Security:
 Children should benefit
from social security and
insurance
 States Parties are
required to provide
help to children or their
families who are in
need
Article 27
 Living Standards:
 An adequate living
standard suitable for
their physical, mental,
spiritual, moral, and
social development of
children
 Adequate nutrition,
clothing and shelter
Article 28
 Education:
 Compulsory and free
primary education
 Accessible secondary
and higher education
 Access to educational
and vocational guidance
 Encourage regular
attendance
Article 28
 Education:
 School discipline
should respect the
human dignity of a
child
 Elimination of
disciplinary methods
involving physical or
mental violence,
abuse or neglect
