POPULATION
GROWTH
By 2020, according to the “National and
departmental projections of population
2005-2020”, an study done by the
National Administrative Department of
Statistics (DANE for its acronym in
Spanish), Bogota will have had a 2%
population growth, increasing the
number to 8,3 million in comparison
with the 8,08 million inhabitants
reported in 2017. However, this
number could increase with the
displacement of Venezuelans due to
their national crisis.

GROWTH

By 2025, Bogota will

have expand its limits,
adding some villages
from the Savannah to
its territory: as Cota,
Soacha, Funza, Madrid
and Mosquera

By 2024, Bogota will have built the

first line of the Bogota’s Subway
and, by the same time, they will
have been building the second line
of the subway.

social and community
research projects, and
will have generated a
bunch of new
knowledge in this area.
 USE OF
BYCICLE

By 2020, Bogota will have

increased the number of
bicyclists until the 25,1%
using these method of
transportation, and will have
expanding the bicycle paths
(Cycle-routes) in at least 10
km according with the
Territorial Arrangement
Planning 2016-2020.
 TOURISM

By 2025, Bogota will have

been increasing the
number of tourists,
promoting new ways of
seeing the city, and
creating scenarios that
allow a greater rapport
with the Bogota's
culture.
