Syllabus
Structure and delivery
 2 lectures per week (90 minutes each)
 Students will be expected to attend the lectures.
Sunday & Tuesday (8.00 –9.30)

 Students will be expected to have undertaken a


wide range of reading

 Individual work only is allowed, Group.

Objectives
• To understand basic principles and methods for
Structural analysis.
• To practice problem solving in type of loads
and structures, Analysis of statically
determinate structures, Trusses, Internal
loading (Moment, Shear and Normal
diagrams), Cables, Arches, Approximate
Analysis of Statically Indeterminate
Structures, Influence lines, and Deflections.
