Accessing MikroTik Router
1. First Connect the MikroTik to your Laptop
2. Open Winbox software from your computer
To connect to the router enter IP or MAC address of the router,
specify username and password (if any) and click
on Connect button.
You can also enter the port number after the IP address,
separating them with a colon, like this 192.168.88.1:9999. The
port can be changed in RouterOS services menu.
Step 1: Configure internet access on the router
Change the IP to match your network configuration

1. Click on the IP Menu


2. Click on the Addresses Menu
3. Click "+"
4. Enter the IP Address you wish to assign to the router, this will be the
outward facing IP, so make sure to select the ethernet interface that will
give the router internet access.
5. Click “Apply”
Configure Upstream DNS Server:

1. Click on the IP Menu


2. Click on the DNS Menu
3. Enter your desired DNS server
4. Click on “Apply”
Configure Default Route

1. Click on the IP Menu


2. Click on Routes
3. Click on "+"
4. Enter 0.0.0.0/0 as the Dst. Address
5. Enter Gateway
Test: Check if you can ping a public IP address like 8.8.8.8

1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Ping
3. Enter a publicly available address
4. Click Start
Step 2: Configure Interface

1. Click on the "Bridge" menu


2. Click on "+"
3. Enter a bridge name
4. Click "Apply"
Add Ports to Bridge

1. Click on the "Bridge" menu


2. Click on the "Ports" Tab
3. Click on "+"
4. Select the interface you want to add to the bridge
5. Select the bridge
6. Click "OK”
Add Bridge/Interface IP Address for Local Network

1. Click on the IP Menu


2. Click on the Addresses menu
3. Click the "+" button
4. Enter desired IP Address
5. Select Interface/Bridge
6. Click “OK”
Create DHCP Server for Local Network Bridge/Interface

1. Click on the IP Menu


2. Click on the DHCP Server Menu
3. Click the DHCP Setup. This will start DHCP Setup Wizard.
NAT (Network Address Translation)

1. Click on the IP Menu


2. Click on the Firewall Menu
3. Click on NAT Tab
4. Click “+” button
NAT (Network Address Translation)

5. Click on the General Tab


6. Select “srcnat” for Chain
7. Select WAN interface for “Out.Interface”
NAT (Network Address Translation)

8. Click on the Action Tab


9. Select “masquerade” for Action
10. Click “Apply”
11. Click “OK”

Accessing the Unifi CK
Two Ways Accessing the Unifi CK:
1. WAN Access- Using your Unifi Account
2. Local Access- Using your Unifi CK Local IP Address
Cloud Access

1. Go to unifi.ubnt.com using any browser


2. Sign in using your Unifi account
Cloud Access

1. Select Unifi Cloud Key


2. Click Launch
Local Access

1. Enter Local IP Address of Unifi CK on your device browser


2. Click Manage
3. Sign in with your login credentials
Creating/Editing SSID

1. Click on “Settings”
2. Go to “Wireless Networks” Create new or edit wireless networks
3. Enter desire SSID
4. Select Security type and Enter desired “security key”
5. Click Save
Setting Cloud Access on Unifi CK

1. Click on “Settings”
2. Click on “Cloud Access”
3. Enable Cloud Access Option
4. Enter your UBNT.com account credentials
5. Click “Enable Cloud access”
6. Click “Apply Changes”
Unifi Devices List

To View Unifi Devices adopted on your controller:


Click on “Devices” icon, here you can see devices status, addresses,
versions, model etc.
Network Clients

To View Clients connected to the network:


Click on “Clients” icon, here you can see all the devices conected to the
network (wired or wireless), bandwidth usage AP/Port the client is
connected to. You can also block and reconnect clients.
Network Stats

To View Network Statistics:


Click on “Statistics” icon, here you can see Overview of the Network,
current usage, top APs, number of wireless clients etc.
