Early life:Balkrishna was born in Nepal. He
studied with Ramdev at a gurukul in Haryana
Career
In 1995, Balkrishna and Ramdev founded Divya
Pharmacy, and in 2006, they founded Patanjali
Ayurved.
Balkrishna owns 98.6% of the consumer goods
company, Patanjali Ayurved, which he co-
founded with Ramdev.
He is the eighth richest Indian, according to the
Hurun India Rich List 2017.
In March, 44-year-old Balkrishna figured in the
Forbes list of the World's Billionaires at 814th
spot. The report ranked 2,043 richest people in
the world. Last year, he had entered the annual
Forbes list of India's 100 Richest People at the
48th position with a net worth of $2.5 billion.
Balkrishna holds a 94% stake in Patanjali
Ayurved. He doesn't take home a salary. Yet, he
works for 15 hours a day, even on Sundays and
other holidays during the year
Controversies
There are a number of controversies associated with
Balkrishna too – including those that question his Indian
citizenship and academic qualifications. His high school
degree – ‘Purv Madhyma’ and Sanskrit degree – ‘Shastri’
from Sampurna Nand Sanskrit University – do not allegedly
exist on records. He was charged with cheating and criminal
conspiracy for procuring fake degrees to acquire an Indian
passport.
He was scholar of ayurveda, Sanskrit language and
the Vedas.He is great lover of nature. He has
