Prerequisite Courses
• Network Analysis – (I Year II Sem)
– Students learns the process of modelling and analysing an
electrical networks.
– This is required for finding transfer function of the
electrical networks.

• Signals & Systems – (II Year I Sem)

– Knowledge on Laplace transform and Inverse Laplace
Transform.
– Useful in finding transfer function and time response
analysis.
Course Outcomes
• C312.1: Able to develop the basic understanding of control system theory and its role
in engineering design. (Synthesis)

• C312.2: Able to understand the utility of Laplace transforms and determine the
transfer function of the system using Mathematical models, Block Diagram algebra
and SFG. (Knowledge)

• C312.3: Able to know the standard test signals used and determine the time response
of first and second order systems. (Analysis)

• C312.4: Able to understand the concept of poles and zeros of a transfer function and
how they affect the physical behaviour of a system. (Synthesis)

• C312.5: Able to understand the concept of Time Domain and Frequency Domain
analysis and to determine the physical behaviour of systems using these analyses.
