What is the Definition of Assessment?

 Formulating clear, anticipated outcomes of student learning that are measurable


 Confirming students possess appropriate opportunities to attain projected goals
 Methodically gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to verify how efficient student
learning aligns with defined outcomes
 Utilizing the end results to identify and enhance student comprehension
 Can be applied to any industry or discipline (Suskie & Banta, 2009).
