The wilcoxon T Test

• Statistik nonparametrik yang digunakan untuk
menentukan perbedaan yang signifikan antara
dua kelompok yang berkorelasi(Kyle dan
vernoy,2002)
 Assumptions
1. Nonparametric data
2. One independent variable
3. Two correlated samples
 Procedure for finding the Wilcoxon T
(Vernoy & Kyle, 2002)
1. Compute the differences between the pairs of
scores
2. Exclude all zero differences from the rest of
the procedure
3. Rank the differences according to absolute
value (+2 gets the same rank as -2)
4. The smallest score, according to absolute
value, gets a rank of one
5. ranks get the average of the ranks
6. Sign the ranks
a. If the difference score was negative the rank is
assigned to the minus category
b. If the difference score was positive the rank is
assigned to the plus category
7. Sum the ranks
a. Sum the plus ranks (∑R+)
b. Sum the minus ranks (∑R-)
(Remember: (∑R+) and (∑R-) are always positive
numbers)
The Wilcoxen T is the smaller of the (∑R+)
and (∑R-)

a. Count up the number of signed ranks
(Number of pairs) - (Number of zero differences)
b. Using the number of signed ranks find the critical
value in Table W
c. If T = or < the critical value from Table W then
reject Ho
d. If T > the critical value from Table W then fail to
reject Ho
