WHY ARE WE A STRESSFUL SOCIETY
• Number of events in life are too many we have more
than thousand times more events in life as compared to
caveman.
• Science has made us to move from intuition and
relaxation (right brain activities) to logical and rational
thinking (left brain activities).
• Pace of life has become too fast. Gadgets, computers,
transport facilities have speeded up life, but we remain
biologically the same as we were in stone age.
• The concept of ‘Survival of Fittest’ has increased
competitiveness to the breaking point. This leads to
fatigue, disappointment and frustration.
• Lack and identity due to automation and fastness.
WHY ARE WE A STRESSFUL SOCIETY
• Appreciation of people is now more based on
quantity (wealth) rather than quality of life
• Information explosion and too many diversions
confuses us.
• We are moving away from nature on almost all
fronts - food, living habits, residing, feelings..
• Theory of utility and usage (assessing how I can
use the other person?) has replaced relationship,
love and other values of life .
• We are becoming more materialistic than
spiritual.
