 MS Project file can be created or edited first using
stand alone MS Project 2016 (available in license
Project Online Pro)
 The created file can be later uploaded into Project
Web App, a cloud repository where later your
projects are consolidated
 It is advised to create the file using MS Project 2016

Project site is a share point repository that is created by MS Project online to do
collaboration among your project team

 Communicate (chats)

Note: there are 2 type of tasks. Task no. 1 is project activity and tasks no. 2 is non
project task

Check-in and check-out project
 In order to do changes in the system you have to check-in to
the system (server). Always think from perspective of file
 Check out – if you want to edit a file, you need to take it out
from the system.
 Check in – If you are done with the file, you have to publish
it into the system then you need it to check in and close the
file.
 Force check in – if you have problem with the file, the admin
or PM can help you in forcing it to check in, but please do
not always do this.
