• Fluid back up into lungs

 DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

• Echocardiography- sonogram of heart

• Chest x-ray- looks at chest to check for conditions

• Stress test- intense exercise to see how heart reacts

• Electrocardiography- records hearts electrical activity

• Blood tests- checks blood levels

• Cardiac angiography- uses dye to detect blockages in heart

• Radionuclide scans-evaluate function of right/left ventricles

• Medicince:
• Aspirin 81mg – thins blood prevents blood clot

• Carvedilol 3mg- beta blocker relaxes heart muscle

• Clopidogrel 75mg- protects stent

• Insulin- regulates sugar

• Crestor 10mg- regulates cholesterol

• Toresemide 20mg- “water pill” gets rid of extra fluid

• Open heart surgery to:

• Open blocked arteries
• Repair damages heart valves

• Pacemaker – improve heart muscle function
