Experimentation
SAMUEL WHITTAKER
Shutter Speed:
1/4000
Aperture:
f/3.5

The image is in focus and

has a short Aperture, this
creates the blurred floor
as you can see in the
background
Shutter Speed:
1/4000
Aperture:
f/3.5

The image is focus of the

jacket and the bricks in
the background are out
of focus, however the
shutter-speed captured
more light then intended.
Shutter Speed:
1/4000
Aperture:
f/11

The shutter speed is high

to grasp a quick shot of
the necklace, the
aperture is slightly higher
than usual to capture the
brick wall resulting it being
slightly blurred while the
necklace and hand are in
focus
Shutter Speed:
1/4000
Aperture:
f/10

The high shutter-speed

managed to capture
the speed of the key’s
as they were being
slung around the finger,
the aperture focuses
more on the keys than
the hand or the people
in the background
Shutter Speed: 1/60
Aperture:
f/32

The shutter-speed is
slower on this picture
because the glasses are
stationary and don’t
need to capture much
movement, while the
aperture is high it
doesn’t blur out the car.
Need more distance to
do so.
Shutter Speed:
1/640
Aperture:
f/11

The shutter speed is at a

medium speed to capture
the face changing directions
at a short speed. The
Aperture is at a higher
setting to capture the
change of depth of field of
the plants.
Shutter Speed:
1/4000
Aperture:
f/5

The shutter speed is too

high for this picture as too
much light was captured
within this image. The
Aperture setting however
resulted in a more blurred
background.
