Cyclone Feature
 Cyclone separation turndown ratio is: 5.625:1
 When the actual gas flow is smaller than
turndown ratio, the separator cannot work and
performance cannot be guaranteed
 To resolve this, we will use plug to stop some
of the cyclone tubes so that gas flows at a
faster speed though unplugged cyclone tubes.
Hence resolving turndown ratio issue, to
ensure that the separator can still operate
normally
 When gas flow is normal, we will remove the
plugs and separator returns back to normal
operation

Cyclone Feature

 If large amounts of liquid/solid in gas to enter


separator, single stage multi-cyclone separator may
not be suitable.
 Under such situation, we designed a two stage
separator.
 Large amount of liquid/solid in gas was separated
from first stage.
 After first stage separation, gas flows upwards
through a center chimney to the multi-cyclone
separator chamber
 This design solves the issue of separating large
amount of liquid/solid in gas condition

 Large flow is split into different cyclone tube which reduces the amount of
flow hence increasing the entry speed, then increase the separation
efficiency
 Simultaneously separate the liquid and solid in the gas to achieve
satisfactory separation results
 Different cyclone tube sizing and layout will reduce the vessel dimension
and cost saving.
 Using different designs to solve the turndown ratio problem that utilizes
gravity principle
 Two stages separation chamber design resolves the difficulties of separating
large amounts of liquid/solids in the gas

 Filter cartridges length from 18 "to 72" and diameter from 2 "to 4", with different
process fluid and operating temperature, the filter cartridge can be configured with
different materials. With so many choices, we can design filter separator a more
reasonable and economical result.

 Vanes are used instead of the traditional mesh pad in our separator thus have much
more advantages as mentioned before.

 For large filter separators, using the reduced head opening/closure instead of the full
opening/closure which help to save filter separator manufacturing costs.

Core Parts –Coalescing Cartridge

Coalescing cartridge has 3 main parts:


1. The first layer is folded agglomerated cellulose layer,
which is located in the drainage layer with glass fibre
material. The layer can 100% coalesce liquid droplets of ≥
0.3 microns
2. Second layer is the drainage which is made of rolled up
thin glass mesh. It can retain and drain liquid and
prevent the coalesced liquid from returning back to the
gas
3. Inner perforated metal layer guarantees the cartridge
mechanical strength
