1.0 Introduction
 The main purpose of this study is to determine
whether the pricing on food in local food stall in
university teknologi mara (uitm) shah alam
campus is reasonable and affordable for
students.
 Economy crisis in Malaysia has caused the
increase price of food in the campus
 This requires students to spend more money for
the same amount of food .
 Therefore, as a student we are conducting a
research to help better understand the average
money students spend on their daily meals.
2.0 Objective
 The price of food has always been a major
issue among university students as it is
commonly questioned if it is reasonable or not .
 To investigate how much a student is willing to
pay for their meals throughout the day from
breakfast to dinner.
 To determine the price of a food to be
considered
reasonable .
3.0 Scope of the Study
 The scope of the study is conduct inside Universiti
Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Shah Alam .
 The timeframe is to be estimated around 2 to 3
weeks.
 The people involved are UiTM students .
 The variables to be used are:
 1) The number of meals student take per day
 2) Average amount of money student spend per meal
 3) Total amount of money spent by students per day

 The main source of the data is from the UiTM


students.
 The specific respondents are the hostel residents and
the outsiders.
4.0 Methodology of the Study
The main method to be used is
questionnaire.
Our primary source of data is from the UiTM
students.
The number of respondents is 40 students.
The use of questionnaires :
 Easy to fill in and efficient in obtaining information from the
respondents
 15 Questions will be provided in the questionnaire
 Relevant answers is provided for the respondents to fill in
 Brief information of the students background is included
 Brief explanation of what the questionnaire is about
Statistical application used is frequency count
and percentage
Bar chart , pie chart and table will represent
the data of the study.
