Skin covers the body
It has two layers :- Epidermis & Dermis.
Skin protects our body, regulate
temperature by using sweat glands.
Skin has numerous nerve ending for
touch, pressure, cold warmth and pain
sensation
NOSE
• Nose is the organ for smell.
• The nose has two holes called nostrils.
• The nostrils and the nasal passages are
separated by a wall called the septum .
• The nose warms, moistens, and filters the
air before it goes to the lungs .
Tongue
• Tongue is organ for taste.
• The taste buds are able to distinguish
various types of taste such as sweet, sour,
salt & bitter.
• Tongue helps in moving food around in the
mouth — towards the teeth for
mastication, and towards the throat for
swallowing
• Tongue helps in normal speech
production.
Eye
• Eye is organ for vision.
• Eye ball is situated in the orbit.
• Eye ball has 3 coats.
• Outer fibrous coat of sclera and cornea.
• The sclera is white opaque ,cornea is
transparent and bulges.
• The inner area is called as retina.
Ear
• The ear is the organ for hearing and
equilibrium.
• It has 3 parts.
• External ear is called as pinna and
external auditory meatus.
• In middle ear (tympanic cavity).
• Internal ear
