PASSOVER
The Jews have many Holy Days, throughout the
year, but perhaps the most important for the, is
the Feast of the Passover, which commemorates
the liberation of the Hebrew from Egypt.
Seder is the one of the part of Passover where in
the paschal meal shared by family on the eve
of the first day of the feast.
Matzah(bread) is the primary food ingested
during the Passover
In the Philippines

Sephardic Jews, who came from west Israel
and sometimes Spain, the Ashkemazic Jews
who came from central Europe, the Felashas
who are in Ethiopia(Molloy 2005, 327-328)

◦Orthodox Judaism tries to observe the traditional
practices and beliefs of Biblical Judaism. They are
strict in the implementation of such laws and
practices.
◦Reform Judaism aims to modernize Judaism a
religion without dogmas and subject to the criteria of
reason
◦Conservative Judaism recognize that change has
always been part of religion
In the Philippines
Beit Yaacov Synagogue is the only
synagogue in the Philippines

Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

giving you.

anything that is your neighbor’s.”
◦ 18 Now when all the people saw wthe thunder and the flashes of lightning and
the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were
afraid4 and trembled, and they stood far off 19 and said to Moses, x“You
speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we
die.” 20 yMoses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to ztest
you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” 21 The
people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the athick darkness where
God was.

shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves

and ebless you. 25 fIf you make me an altar of stone, gyou shall not build it of
hewn stones, for if you wield your tool on it you profane it. 26 And you shall not
go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness be not exposed on it.’

the Creator, and Israel or the Jewish
people are His chosen people.

other gods, and God cannot be
subdivided into different persons.
