ABSTRACT
Micro Gas Turbines (MGTs) usually produce between 25 and 500 KW
of electrical power, are small scale and reliable sources of energy and
they are expected to play a vital role in future energy supplies for
remote areas. In this paper different geometries of combustion
chamber were developed and analyzed by varying the flame holder’s
diameter, height, no of holes on the flame holder and length of dead
zone between different zones of combustion chamber. The combustor
was designed and developed using SOLID-WORKS and analyzed
using ANSYS-FLUENT simulation software and the results of
optimum geometry were verified using an experimental test rig.
