Lessons from the Lance Armstrong

Cheating Scandal
 He took drug material to achieve success in a
short way.
 He demanded other riders to take drugs to
match his escalating performance level that is
an unethical act (Edwards and Roy, 2017).
 They helped him in this unethical act and
permit him to take drugs for rapid fame
purpose and didn’t tell concequences that is
considered as biggest dilemma of team
members (Le Grand, 2015).
 He defended himself by saying drugs are
common and everyone else is doing it
(Komagata, 2012).
 At that time, tendency towards doping was
high that compelled him to get benefit of drugs
for success and fame purpose.
 Strengths
 ethical way adopted by Armstrong can increase
the importance of ethics.
 Weaknesses
 He might not able to get rapid success if he
followed ethical ways.
 Opportunities
 He might get more opportunities of success.
 Threats
 Ethical actions contain rare threats.
As a teammate of Armstrong, I will prefer to help
him in
 avoiding drugs

 Following ethical values

 And will help him in training

If I was a famous sportsman like Armstrong, I
will surely:
 follow ethical values,

 focus on my training

 and put efforts rather than drugging.
