ACIDITY OF COFFEE

Acidity in coffee may pertain to different ideas. It


can be interpreted as the bright and sharp flavor of
coffee. But in a chemist’s term, acidity is the amount
of acid present in a solution, expressed in terms of
pH.

Approximately, coffee has a pH level of 5. While a


pH of approximately 5 does not mean that coffee is
very acidic, some of coffees ingredients, including
caffeine, can give you a stomach ache or heartburn
