*Math –We are learning about equivalent fractions and Math: Complete 30 minutes on either Khan
comparing fractions. That test will done on the computer on Academy or DreamBox.
Friday, February 1st.

* Reading –We will begin looking at themes and topics. We If your child is on Lexia or Reading Plus, please
will also continue our next read aloud A Long Walk to Water. have them work on this at home.
* Writing –We will begin working on our Informational
Writing for the nine weeks. We will be selecting a topic and then Read 20 minutes/night
researching this week.

* Grammar –We will learn about relative adverbs and

pronouns. Begin studying Vocabulary for Week 3. Test
on Week 3 & 4 will be Friday, February 8th.
* Science– We will continue our unit on Weather. We are
learning about different weather instruments, weather fronts, and
climate vs. weather. We will have a test on Weather on Thursday, Be sure to study for Math test and Science test!
January 31st. After our weather unit we will begin learning about
Sound.
