FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR

FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR

Rough sag clamp will not be
Removed until the load will not
Come to Final sag clamp

PP Rope should not be less than 20 MM

FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR

All the tools like,

Equalizer pulley,
D-shackle,
Wire Rope, and
Four sheave
Pulley will be use
of adequate
capacity. Checked
at regular interval
FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR

Final Sagging will

be done
By sag winch to
avoid the jerk
coming
On the cross arm.
FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR
Separate
Four sheave
Pulley
arrangement
For each
conductor for
safe sagging
FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR
 During tightening of conductor, Fitters should not be in the
cross arm. After final sagging of the conductor they should
wait up to Five minute then they should go for marking of
conductor.

 Final sagging must be done by winch, not by couple of

tractors.

 Man responsible for verifying the sag of the conductor / earth

wire should be knowledgeable & well experienced in
respective area.

 During removal of come along clamp, the lead of equalizer

pulley should not throw from height. It will be lowered by pp
rope attached with the come-along clamp.
FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR
 Fitter should not come down by PP rope after
removing the come along clamp. They will be get back
to tower and climb down by tower step bolt.

 While getting back to tower after removing the come-

along clamp, they should wrap their safety belt to the
insulator.

 Fitter may choose the PP rope for coming down from

conductor, Rope grab fall arrester should be use along
with PP rope.

FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR
 On the ground loose wire rope of four sheave pulley
must be lay separately in such a way that no one should
come in contact with that. A worker must be deployed
for the same.

 For going to fix the conductor dead end to the insulator

fitting, retractable fall arrestor should be use by fitters.

 In case of any entanglement in lead wire of four sheave

pulley at height no workmen will be allowed to go on
insulators.

FINAL SAGGING OF CONDUCTOR

During crawling on insulator,

both lanyard of The full body
harness must be wrapped around
The insulator
CLIPPING
CLIPPING
 To avoid the slippage of shackles from conductor, PP
rope or binding wire should wrap on conductor.
 Fitters should not anchor their safety belt to the
conductor. Separate retractable fall arrester should use
by each fitter along with double lanyard full body
harness and safety helmet.
 Care must be taken during lowering the aerial roller. No
one should stand below the roller during lowering.
 Adequate number of workmen should hold the PP rope
during lowering the Ariel roller.
CLIPPING
Fitter will not
anchor his safety
belt To the
conductor.
Separate
Retractable fall
arrester will be
used by each
fitter.
Retractable Fall Arrester
CLIPPING
The conductor should be
earthed, before starting the
clipping activity.

To protect the workmen

from electric
Induction.
SPACER FIXING
Only Experienced fitter should
be deployed for spacer work.

Spacer cycle should be checked

for any defect Before starting of
spacer fixing activity.

Both lanyard of the safety belt

should be Anchored to the
conductor.
SPACER FIXING
During
crossing of HT
lines, rope
should
Be lifted up to
safe clearance.
JUMPERING
JUMPERING
 Discharge Rod must be provided at both side of the
tower to prevent the workmen the from electric
induction.
 If any HT line is passing below the conductor, Jumper
of that tower should not be provided to reduce the
chances of electric induction.
 After each 25 to 30 KM jumper should not be provided
to decrease the chances of Induction.
 Rigid spacers must be fixed at ground before lifting the
conductor for fixing as jumper.
JUMPERING
After each 25 to 30 KM jumper
should not be provided to
decrease the chances of
Induction.

At the HT Line crossing, Jumper

will not be fixed to reduce the
chances of electric induction
