MISSIONARY

- This is our distinct desire to deepen the living of our Christian

faith for the love and service for others.
- It is an expression of our great appreciation to the work of
evangelization, formation and mission of our community, taking it
in as our duty, our call and our privilege.

THE PAINS AND GAINS OF BEING SENT

Having that HEART and PASSION for serving the Lord, however,
doesn’t shield us from sufferings. In fact, being a missionary is
not easy. “… Take up his cross daily… and follow me.” Luke 9:23
This call entails a lot of sacrifices and sufferings just like what
happened to Jesus Christ.
BEING SENT IS NOT A BED OF ROSES. JESUS
WARNS US. (MATT. 10: 16-25)
Family – Sometimes your family will not understand the mission that you are doing.
Ex. Parents not allowing their YFC children to attend prayer meetings because
they simply do not understand.

Friends- Many of our friends will say that serving God through YFC is boring and out
of trend. But we have to defend our calling and show to them that serving God is
one of the greatest happiness one can have.
Clergy- Sometimes the priest in our parishes will not understand our radical way of
evangelization. We have to explain it to them for us to be able to work hand in
hand in our evangelization.
Our call is an everyday decision to follow Him, even in small ways,
even in small steps. We will be hurt and humiliated for His sake
but the Lord knows our sufferings and He will not leave it at that.
THE FEELING OF FULFILLMENT
• What we do not know is that God is using our lives as an instrument to change
the lives of others.
• We may be sacrificing a lot but it may be the reason why other people meet God.
• We feel the fulfillment of the mission when we see lives transformed,
relationships healed, and families united.
• We suffer and experience hardships but in reality it only makes us lean on God
more.
• At the same time, we should not grow disappointed when we feel as if there is no
“progress” in our mission.
• Everything happens in God’s perfect timing.
• What we should have is an eager heart to do His will no matter how hard it is.
