 PRELIMINARY
The Cimanuk-Cisanggarung River Region is located in West Java
Province and partly in Central Java, is a river area that has great potential for
the development of irrigation, raw water and hydropower. The area of the
Cimanuk-Cisanggarung River is 7,711 km2 and Cipanas Dam in the Cipanas-
Pangkalan watershed is an area that has the potential to be developed.

The construction of the Cipanas Dam aims to improve irrigation water

services for irrigation areas, raw water supply and flood control, and the
development of hydropower plants.
 Where is Cipanas Dam?
Geographically, the location of the Cipanas dam is located at
7° 43‘ 00“ East Longitude and 108° 05‘ 43" South Latitude.
Administratively located in Cibuluh Village, Ujung Jaya
District Sumedang Regency, West Java Province
The Cipanas Dam watershed is ± 235.61 km2, with a main
river length of 11.98 km. Upstream of the Cipanas river,
located on Mount Tampomas, Sumedang Regency and empties
into the Java Sea, Indramayu Regency.
