DEEP- WELL PUMP

• Deep well pumps are devices, which area unit used

to draw water up from a deep sump or from a
deep well. These pumps offered by Faucets
Complete feature a hermetically conserved motor
to defend them from wetness.
RECIPROCATING PUMPS

• are used to increase the energy level of water by

virtue of which it can be raised to a higher level.
• are positive displacement pump
MAIN COMPONENTS
SLIP

• defined as the difference between the theoretical

and the actual discharge.
• Slip = Qth. – Qa
• Cd = Qa / Qth.
• Cd is known as co-efficient of discharge and is
defined as the ratio of the actual discharge to the
theoretical discharge.
• volumetric efficiency of the pump
AIR LIFT
AIR LIFT
• Motor pump
• Hanp pump
• function
Its main function is to lift water from a deep well or
sump by using compressed air.
By buoyancy the air, which has a lower density than
the liquid, rises quickly.
By fluid pressure, the liquid is taken in the ascendant
air flow and moves in the same direction as the air
INJECTOR CENTRIFUGAL PUMNP
• Centrifugal Pumps are a sub-class of dynamic work
absorbing turbo
• Designed base on centrifugal force
• Main parts
• Working principles
1. converts one form of energy into another form to
operate for pumping fluid.
2. takes mechanical energy from the motor assembled with
the pump, and converts it into either kinetic energy or the
potential energy of the fluid movement.
3. depends upon the fluid as to what energy mechanical
energy convert into.
TURBINE TYPE

• are special types of centrifugal pumps which use

turbine-like impellers with radially oriented teeth to
move fluid.
• vortex, periphery, or regenerative pumps.
• the flow rate of turbine pumps is not extremely
variable with large changes in pressure
• Pump operation
1. utilize fluid momentum and velocity to generate
pump pressure.
2. generate velocity by using an impeller to apply
centrifugal force to the moving liquid.
