Why Group Project Assignment ?

Learning by Self Discovery

Guidelines for Assignment

Total Groups : 8 groups of 4/3 members

Date of Submission: After Examination

•Project Report : 25-30 Pages (word document, Arial font 12, line spacing 1.5)
submit report in soft copy only.

Marks: 30% of total marks for project report. Students may be asked to submit a mid-
way review reports or may be called for interaction on final report

Each group will have a coordinator who will be responsible for coordination between
among group members and the Professor. He will help members in finalizing which
part of the project will be done by whom and ensure that there is no violation of copyright
law.

• A students ’s marks may be deducted for non-performance / non-cooperation in the


group assignment (on the basis of the feedback of group members, if any).
The Projects should
• Aim to frame issues and be clear about the definitions and relevant
terminology pertaining to the topic and related issues.

• Present legal, regulatory and judicial approaches to deal with the issues in a
compelling fashion

• Consider compliance, implementation and enforcement realities of applicable


laws.

• Examine need for further amendment in the existing laws or an enactment of a


new law to deal with issues.

• Consider role of management to deal with issues.

• Need not to come up with the solution but must explore possible options to
resolve the issues by churning and an educated guess.

• Make Suggestions with a view to make the existing legal, regulatory and
managerial systems and procedures to deal the issues in a more effective and
proactive manner.
•You may explain the following issues in your report:

• How law impacts upon national and international business environment and the
natural environment?

•What are the impacts of technology entering into the domain of business,
environment and Law ?

•How technology helps in achieving the environmental and regulatory compliance?

•How an effective leadership and motivation can inspire businesses for self regulation
and voluntarily environmental compliance?

•How enviro-legal awareness and public participation can be instrumental in inducing


industry to ensure environmental compliance for sustainable development ?

•How legal and ethical compliance can be used for profit maximization and
competitive business advantage?

problems/issues.

VIII. Role Legal education and awareness and Public Participation

business manager / entrepreneur/ decision maker.
•Note :

•Guidelines and Chapters are general in nature and need not confine
your study only to given headings rather you may explore other
possible aspects and supplement your outcomes with relevant Indian
and foreign cases/ materials on the topic.

•You are expected to analyze the Indian law & compare it with
successful foreign law on the issues under study to understand the
adequacy and efficacy of our laws and regulations and give
suggestions for their further changes for better result.

•Please submit the softcopy of the report to CR and keep the


softcopy of report with you ,Professor may require it for ready
reference any time before your grades are announced. CR will
delete the reports later on after consulting the Professor.

• MOST IMPORTANT: You must put the sources consulted as foot notes
with proper linkage to contents of the report.

• You must put your group’s findings/observation/critical analysis at


the end.

• Avoid total reliance on web materials for better grade.

• Use of relevant Books , Reports , Journals and Case law on the subject is
highly recommended.

• Relevant annexure may be put at the end of the report and will not be counted
for the purpose of page limit of the report.

• We use software to check plagiarism so avoid violation of copyright law.
