Animatics.
Animatics is a
rough draft
consisting of simple
storyboard panels
and a temporary
sound track.
Audio Recording.
A digital
inscription of
spoken words,
singing, music or
sound effects.
Layout.
Layouts are drawn from storyboards
which define the action and
perspective in the scene. Because
storyboard artists draw backgrounds
in a rough, simplified style,
background layout artists take them
to the next level by defining the detail
and perspective. Layout drawings are
then given to the background painters
to color and complete the visual style.
Character Design.
- An attribute of a character
refers to it’s characteristics.

Attributes and - Proportion is the size

Proportion. relationship between the parts


of the character. It helps
achieve accuracy and
consistency throught the
animation.
The action of conveying one’s
thoughts and feelings.

Expressing a character brings life


Expressions. into it and improves the
communication with the viewer.
Also known as a character board, It
is use to standardise the appearance,
poses and gestures of an animated
Model Sheet. character.
Animating a character’s attitude is
not as simple expressions of the face,

Poses. but also the body language.


If Color is not carefully considered
throughout the design process, a
character or scene will look thrown
together or implausible.

Colors. If compelling and meaningful choices


are made, color can be used to imply
a character’s personality or role
within the story.
