INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study:
 Technology is normally used as a primary tool to lessen the
need for man-power all in all in major industries like
Agriculture.

 Such types of technology in the form of equipment are

Unarmed Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s).

 Agriculture can be a prime focus for technological

advancements to assist in improving plant growth and
production.
2
Statement of the Problem:

 Basic field crops such as rice (Oryza sativa), corn

and vegetable usually takes a long period of time
for growing.

 This study was conducted in order to test if sound

wave vibrations that surrounds almost everything
more especially the rice or corn fields in Balayan
could affect its growing process.

 The technology used here are all either

programmed or coded to do the task needed at
hand.
Research Questions:
This study aims to answer the following questions:

 Can sound vibrations produced from music really affect

the growth of plants?

 Which among the 3 music genres used for producing

sound vibrations prove to be the most effective in
growing rice crops?

 Would drones be sufficient in enhancing the growth of

rice crops?

 Is there a significant difference between the drone’s

automated programming and the growth-rate of the rice
crops?
Significance of the Study:

 Through this study, rice (Oryza sativa) growth and

production will increase, giving farmers and other
agriculturists more annual product yield as well as
higher affluence for themselves and their families.

 This study is done through a process that does not

mess with the biological and chemical construct of the
crop, but instead would be done through the use of
sound waves, artificial light and the measurement of
humidity.

Objectives:
General Objectives:

This study aims to evaluate the capabilities of a drone

in increasing the growth of rice crops (Oryza sativa) through
automated tests of music genres and their effect on the crops.

Specific Objectives:

• Determine the effect each genre of music had on the rice

grain’s height and growth

• Determine if there is a significant difference between the

drone’s automated programming and the growth-rate of
the rice crops (Oryza sativa)
6
Scopes and Limitations
 This study focuses solely on the potential of Rock N’
Roll, Blues and Classical Music.

 Researchers only have control over the amount of

time each experimental set-up is exposed to the
different music genres.

 This study will be conducted in Brgy. Gumamela,

Balayan, Batangas from September 2018 to
February 2019.
7
Hypotheses
Null Hypothesis: Alternative Hypothesis:
◇ There is no ◇ There is a significant
significant difference difference between
between the drone’s the drone’s
automated automated
programming and programming and
the growth-rate of the growth-rate of
the rice crops (Oryza the rice crops (Oryza
sativa) sativa)
