 Executive Summary/Background And
Situation Analysis

 Unemployment is a grave issue. There are numbers of

factors that lead to it. Some of these include lack of proper
education, lack of good skill set, inability to perform, lack of
good employment opportunities and rapid increasing
population. Unemployment has become a major problem in
today’s modern society. According to the statistic in India an
average of 7.32% an employment rate from 1983 to 2013
with a highest of 9.4% in the year 2009 and a record of 4.90%
in 2013. In the year 2015-16, the unemployment rate shot up
significantly with 8.7% for women and 4.3% for men.
 Introduction about the Organization.

 The Self Employment Foundation has been providing

support and services to the rural poor. The self
employment foundation is registered as non profit and non
governmental organization(NGO) working for the welfare
of the rural people who are unemployed in northeast
region. It is located at Umsning village syadrit Ribhoi
District Meghalaya. It was established in the year 2010. It
aims to improve support self-employed in poverty and
improve their livelihood from unemployed to self
employed. Its main focus is an indication and training.
 Project Aim

 To support self employed in poverty

and to improve livelihood.
 It aims at reducing unemployment
among the youth in rural areas.
 Project Objective

 To conduct the 12 month of training for the

unemployed youth.
 To help the youth start setting up their own
enterprise.
 To move out to the rural and urban areas or
villages and do the mobilization or advertisement
about the training program.

 Distribution of the Pam-plates.

 Advertising
about the training program in
the news paper.
 Putting out Banners on the Road side.
 Conducting a meeting with the village

Management Plans-
 To go for mobilization in the village areas and conduct meeting
and tell them about the training programs and its benefits.
 To give an advertisement about the training program in the
newspapers.
 By putting out posters and banners in the market place or
where there is crowded place.

 Risk-2. Might be difficult to get a resource

person for the Training.
 Management Plans-
 To give an advertise in the newspaper for
resource person and the cost to be paid.
 To put out poster for the vacancy and interview of
resource person on contract basis.

also been provided to the trainee so that what
ever they have been taught they could start their
own enterprise and earn their living.

Unemployed youth to be self Employed.
