Shredding systems are used to reduce the size of a given material while most online dictionaries define the shredder as “a device used for shredding documents as a security measure to prevent identity theft," shredders can be of many types based on the material being processed. GENRATION OF SHREDDER MACHINE
1. The first generation of shredders:
Most of the first generation of the transmission mechanism is driven by a belt with low noise, but the belt may be pulled and deformed after long working hours. 2. The second generation of shredders: Plastic gear rolls, because it is difficult to master injection and shrinking process accurately of the shredder machine, resulting in the low accuracy of the gear itself. 3. The third generation shredders Metal sprocket: quiet operation, low energy loss, efficient cutting 4. The fourth generation of shredder machine The drive mechanism of shredder machine is the metal gear, although the metal gears overcome the above drawbacks, it is difficult to avoid the impact of the metal gear and friction sound. 5. The fifth generation of shredder machine Diamond snug movement, it takes use of alloy steel materials, quenching process of metal tool, completely CNC machining technology, and the workmanship guarantee transmission installation accuracy, so the wear is reduced to a minimum to ensure the stability of product quality and reduce noise. 6. The sixth generation of shredders (modern) Currently, the high-tech multimedia high series grinder has the high technology content which can be used to broken CD-ROM, floppy disk, tape, video, etc. and the embedded button panel with a protective film ensure the function of the way forward, rewind, stop, and full stop. USE OF THE SHREDDER • Use of the Shredder in Waste Management The benefits of using mega-shredders in large- scale waste disposal systems recycling centers and municipal landfills are related to material reduction. • Use of Shredders in Recycling In today’s economic environment, communities and businesses are always looking for new ways of cutting costs and use of shredders provides new strategic options. WORKING • Shredders contain Single shafts and various blades designs, once it starts working, these shafts and blades reconfigured the plastic wastes in the desired output. Various parts FIELD OF APPLICATION • CD's, computer hard drives and boards, carbon tapes • Paper, card board, files completely filled • Tin and plastic cans • PET bottles • Wood, wooden boxes, pallets • Metal & plastic chips • Domestic waste • Cables and electronic waste. ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATION Advantages • Helps in reduce wastes. • Featured with great mechanical techniques to enable easy usage. • Helps in shredding tons of plastic disposed from corporate and commercial world. • It converts the solid wastes which are too hard into very small pieces. • The model is simple, efficient and cost effective. Limitations • All shredders make noise as the motor powers the blades. • Plastic shredder machine cost higher than paper shredder. • All types of plastic cannot be shredded by same shredding machine. FUTURE SCOPE • The future scope is to upgrade the machine with lot more facilities. That is to equip the machine with automatic loading facility, sensors and microcontrollers to detect the material input to switch on and off the machine automatically in order to reduce the power consumption. • The processing of waste materials can be enhanced to achieve the production of high quality products on relatively large scale for industrial use. • Shredded waste can recycled and can serve as raw materials for other machine processes such as kitchenware, trash bag, carpet, roof tiles.
